There’s a New Girl in Town – Welcome Kaya Della Baines!

Seldovia welcomes baby Kaya Della Baines, who was born in Homer on Sunday, October 13 at 10:28 p.m.   She weighed eight pounds, 10 ounces.

Kaya’s parents are Darin and Jennifer Baines of Seldovia.  Her maternal grandparents are Frank and Shelby Beaudry of Canby, Oregon, and paternal grandparents are the late Dan and Della Baines.   Kaya’s great-grandparents are Rod and Sunni Hilts of Seldovia, and Velma Baines of Sitka.

I had a chance to ask Jennifer, the new mom, a few questions about becoming a family – and she wanted to share these thoughts with the community of Seldovia.
