Spring is in the Air, and Flowers aren’t the only things Growing!
by Tracie Merrill
The Seldovia Public Library board is very pleased to announce that the library is expanding into the courtroom space downstairs in the library/multipurpose building.
The downstairs space will house our Alaska collection of adult books, a new computer (or two) received from an Online With Libraries (OWL) grant, as well as our video-teleconference equipment.
Within the coming year, we hope to renovate and furnish this room with new flooring, window treatments, paint, furniture, and improvements to the bookcases. In the meantime, please pardon this room’s appearance as we undergo our “growing pains.”
This Saturday (the 13th), library staff will be moving our Alaska collection downstairs. If you would like to help, please come to the library at 4:00 pm. The public’s help is always welcomed. Library staff will be showing up a little earlier than this, and board members even earlier, to undergo some training that day.
After an hour of hard work, come sit back, relax, and join us for movie night at 6:15 pm as we watch Rise of the Guardians. Hope to see you there!
