Power Restored – Thanks HEA

January 4, 5:45 pm – HEA crews have completed restoration work in Seldovia and power has been restored to all HEA members in the area. The cause of the outage was a failed insulator on a power pole located between McDonald Spit and Six Mile Jakolof Bay Road.
Seldovia City on Generation, No Power out of City

January 4, 2:15 pm – The Gerry Willard Generation Plant in Seldovia is currently on line and providing power to Nanwalek, Port Graham and Seldovia. The area from the Gerry Willard Generation Plant to Jakolof Bay remains without power. HEA has a crew headed to Seldovia at this time in a pilot boat (helicopter unavailable due to bad weather conditions) and will arrive in Seldovia later this afternoon. Upon on arrival, the crew will patrol the line from Seldovia to Jakolof Bay to locate the fault on the power line and make repairs.
