Seldovia Public Library – Multi-Media Drive – Win an iPad Mini!
by Tracie Merrill
Do you have video games, DVDs, or audiobooks you don’t want or never use? The Seldovia Public Library is hosting our first Multi-media Drive.
During the month of March, for every item donated, you’ll receive a raffle ticket to win an iPad Mini (approximately $300 value). You can also choose to donate new DVDs, video games, or audiobooks off our Amazon wishlist and be entered into the drawing as well. Please note that if you decide to donate items off our wishlist please do it with a gift receipt and please email your receipt to seldovia.library@gmail.com so that you can be entered into the drawing.
The drawing will be held on April 10th during the craft fair at the Sea Otter Community Center. You don’t have to be present to win. Items must be:
- In good condition
- Come in original packaging
- Recent (released in or after 2011)
- DVDs must be rated “R” or under
- Video games must be rated “M” or under
Items can be dropped off to the library during regular hours or mailed to the library (Drawer H, Seldovia, AK 99663). However, if you do mail them, please be sure to include your contact information so you can be entered into the drawing and contacted should you win. Good luck and thank you for your donations and support! Special thanks to Jenny Chissus for the generous donation of the iPad Mini.

Thanks to the Peninsula Clarion for this great recap of the games yesterday! Please click here or on the image to the left to read the full article. Our Seldovia Sea Otters are Super Stars!!!
If you didn’t see yesterday’s Girls game in person, you really missed out! It was a nail biter! Our girls, who have only won ONE game all season were on fire and scored the most points they’ve ever scored in a game this season – and in overtime!!! We were fortunate to be able to watch from home since Coach Janes set up his video equipment and the games were streamed live.
I want to give a big shout out to Chance Haller, a junior on the Seldovia Boys team who was gracious enough to announce the girl’s game as it played out! It is so great for us here at home to get the play-by-play (and the enthusiasm)! So Thanks Chance! Coach Tiffany Haller has done the announcing for the boys games, and so that skill, energy and enthusiasm must run in the family!!
Today, Thursday, the Lady Otters will play Cook Inlet Academy at 1:30pm and the boys will also be playing CIA at 8:00pm tonight. You can click HERE to go to view the games live! Thanks Mark for making that possible!
I have posted today’s brackets for your review – you can click on each one to view full size!
GOOD LUCK OTTERS!
