Illustrator/Author Sarah McIntyre to visit Seldovia!

Join us TODAY July 5th for two fun sessions!

Don’t miss this fantastic family experience!  A comic creating extravaganza!  Click on the picture below for more details about the event.

• Create a comics character from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. – all ages (under 5 will need adult helpers)
  Meet writer and illustrator Sarah McIntyre, find out how she’s created some of the characters in her picture books and comics, and design your own! Tentacles! Googly eyes! Crazy hair! Silly superpowers! Get your drawing arms ready.
• Comic Book Jam Session from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. – 8 and up (smaller can attend with adult helpers)
  Have you heard of a music jam session, where musicians meet up and create new music by improvising? Discover how to do the same with comics! You’ve created your character in the earlier workshop, now learn some comics tips, begin a comics story for it, and then lose control as your character sets off on its own adventure! A fun game you can take away to play again.
